The model is based on the results of grain-size analyses of bottom sediments and the information about dominant sedimentary processes in glaciated fjords. It is concluded that apart from the tidewater glacier which is the main source of sediment in this area, the material is transported also from the shores. Subsequently, the material is redeposited by iceberg-caused reworking, slides and gravity flows. Strong decreasing trend of particles' diameters with increasing distance from the ice cliff is observed. date: 2015-10 date_type: published publication: Open Geosciences volume: 7 number: 1 id_number: doi:10.1515/geo-2015-0042 issn: 2391-5447 official_url: http://doi.org/10.1515/geo-2015-0042 access_IS-EPOS: limited owner: Publisher citation: Staszek, Monika and Moskalik, Mateusz (2015) Contemporary sedimentation in the forefield of Hornbreen, Hornsund.
