"The spatial location of sources of seismic waves is one of the first tasks when transient waves\r\nfrom natural (uncontrolled) sources are analyzed in many branches of physics, including seismology,\r\noceanology, to name a few. Source activity and its spatial variability in time, the geometry\r\nof recording network, the complexity and heterogeneity of wave velocity distribution are all\r\nfactors influencing the performance of location algorithms and accuracy of the achieved results.\r\nWhile estimating of the earthquake foci location is relatively simple a quantitative estimation\r\nof the location accuracy is really a challenging task even if the probabilistic inverse method is\r\nused because it requires knowledge of statistics of observational, modelling, and a priori uncertainties.\r\nUnfortunatelly, this is usually not a case. In such a situation additional assumptions\r\nare necessary which additionally complicate the analysis of linversion uncertainties. It is thus\r\nof a greate importance to have a reliable and efficient software tools which could allowed an\r\nadvanced error analysis possible. In this reference manual we describe such a software, called\r\nTRMLOC which fulfiels above requirements with respect to local sesimicity like , for example,\r\nin mines.\r\nThe TRMLOC location software (W.Debski and P.Klejment, 2015) performs efficiently the\r\ninversion of seismic (acoustic) first arrival time onsets for hypocenter location using the probabilistic\r\ninverse theory approach. It provides the maximum likelihood hypocenter location,\r\nenables other hypocenter location estimators to be calculated, and, what is most important, it\r\nallows an advanced analysis of location (inversion) uncertainties. This advanced performance\r\nis possible due to used numerical algorithm implemented in TRMLOC.\r\nThis reference provides the most comprehensive description of the TRMLOC software including\r\nalgorithm description and technical description needed for using the software. Correspondingly,\r\nthe manual consists of two parts. In the first part the basic concepts and numerical\r\nalgorithms implemented in TRMLOCare described. The second part is a technical\r\nreference manual where all details concerning required parameters, data, file formats, etc. are\r\ndescribed. For examples of using TRMLOC readers are refered to research papers (W.Debski\r\nand P.Klejment, 2015; Debski, 2015). Especially the former one demonstrates how TRMLOC\r\ncan be used for the advanced error analysis of location tasks."^^ . "2015-04-11" . . . "."^^ . . . . . . "Wojciech"^^ . "Debski"^^ .
