The following topics are discussed: principal types of mine tremors, double-couple and non-double-couple focal mechanisms, seismic moment tensor, seismic source modeling, seismic spectra and source parameters, scaling relations, and attenuation and scattering affects. Special attention is paid to practical aspects of mine-induced seismicity studies, adapted from relevant studies of natural seismicity. date: 1990 date_type: published publisher: Balkema place_of_pub: Rotterdam pagerange: 3-27 refereed: TRUE isbn: 90 6191 1451 book_title: Rockbursts and Seismicity in Mines, Proceedings of the 2nd International Symposium, access_IS-EPOS: limited owner: Publisher citation: Gibowicz, Slawomir (1990) The mechanism of seismic events induced by mining.
