The ammonites belong to the families: Phylloceratidae, Lytoceratidae, Hildoceratidae, Graphoceratidae, Hammatoceratidae, Sonniniidae, Otoitidae and Stephanoceratidae. The associated bivalve faunule is represented by the families Inoceramidae and ?Posidoniidae. Stratigraphic evaluation of the ammonite assemblages helped to redefine age ranges of some lithostratigraphic units in the Pieniny Klippen Belt and the Lower Subtatric Succession,Tatra Mts. publisher: Polish Academy of Science contributor: Birkenmajer, Krzysztof date: 2004 type: Book Section type: PeerReviewed identifier: Myczyński, Ryszard (2004) Toarcian, Aalenian and Early Bajocian (Jurassic) ammonite faunas and biostratigraphy in the Pieniny Klippen Belt and the Tatra Mts, West Carpathians.
