The earthquakes occurring in the area of the Orawa–Nowy Targ depression are the evidence that tectonic faults in this area are still seismically active. An earthquake of M = 4.1 was re-corded there in November 2004. date: 2005 date_type: published publication: Acta Geophysica Polonica volume: 53 number: 1 publisher: Polish Academy of Science pagerange: 27-45 refereed: TRUE issn: 1895-6572 access_IS-EPOS: limited owner: Publisher citation: Guterch, Barbara and Lewandowska-Marciniak, Hanna and Niewiadomski, Janusz (2005) Earthquakes recorded in Poland along the Pieniny Klippen Belt, Western Carpathians.
