The calculations were made with the use of the Estymacja computer program written by M. Bala and A. Cichy within the research project No. 8 T12B 046 20 (Bala et al. 2003). The theoretical Biot Gassmann's model was used, which enabled the above mentioned parameters to be determined based on known mineral composition, porosity, and wat er- and hydrocarbon saturation of rocks, which can be obtained from well log quantitative interpretation.
